Requirement:
We seek a full- time minister who will demonstrate spiritual maturity in mentoring the church community. Someone who will make the church relevant in all lives, by creating a balance between the needs of both young and older members of the church. A minister that has demonstrated an ability to manage healthy conflict resolution would be an asset.

Duties:

  • Prepare sermons and liturgy, administer sacraments, officiate weddings and funerals.
    • Work with committee to plan special worship events,
    • Expand or develop worship and music service to a more “blended” worship experience,  holding to our traditional service and adding/blending for an alternative service experience.
  • Pastoral Care: Visiting members in the hospital, nursing home, homebound or in crisis.
  • Moderate and lead Session/Council in its responsibilities
    • Serve as Head of Staff, supervisor of church office,
    • Represent the church and encourage good communication within the community.
  • Mission Study: Lead exploration with the committee to renew and move forward with mission trips to serve distant communities.
  • Teach:
    • Conduct leader training, assist with Christian Education and expand Christian studies.
  • Personal Growth in Faith:
    • Seek continued professional and spiritual growth,
    • Participate in continuing education.
  • Support Stewardship, Outreach, and the Financial health of the church.
  • Hold regular office hours.
  • Develop an active relationship with Hudson River Presbytery.

Qualifications:

  • Masters of Divinity
  • Crisis Management Training, preferred, not required.
