Ministry of Music
The First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, 33 Park Place, is pleased to have three professional, classical musicians perform at the church on Sunday, March 18, at 3:00 p.m. All are experienced and have performed throughout the US and abroad. The concert will take place in the sanctuary.
Comprising the “Tower Trio” is Jonathan Hall, keyboards (historic church pipe organ, grand piano, harpsichord); Mary Lee Farris, vocalist; and Bill Powers, saxophone and flute.
The trio is performing works by Bach, Purcell, Barber, Halley and others. Also featured are works by Donald Marsh, composer and longtime resident of Port Jervis.
Concert is free and and open to the public. Free will offering is accepted.

Our Music Mission:
The First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, New York (FPC) has a long tradition of excellence in its music program. This program not only enhances the musical aspects of our regular worship, but it also enhances the whole life of the congregation through special seasonal programs, growth in congressional singing, ecumenical opportunities, fellowship opportunities, and coordination with our entire Christian Education Program. Considering our broad heritage and the diversity of interests among all ages and backgrounds of our congregation, our program shall have an appreciation of the value of the whole range of available music from classical to contemporary.
The Music Program at FPC includes the following:
- Youth Choir (currently coordinated and directed through the Sunday School Program)
- Hand Bell Choir (4 octave set of handbells)
- Chancel Choir
- Organ (3-manual, 52 rank pipe/electronic hybrid organ. Originally a 1931 Austin 42 rank organ modified in 1998 with a Wyvern English-style draw knob console with added digital stops.)
- Piano (Baby grand piano)
